Mount Abu is a popular hill station in the Aravalli range and lies in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The place is well-known for its Dilwara Jain Temples. It houses waterfalls, lakes, rivers and evergreen forests.The highest peak on the Mount Abu is ‘Guru Shikhar’. Guru Shikhar at 1,722 m (5,650 ft) above sea level.
It is referred to as 'an oasis in the desert' as its heights are home to rivers, lakes, waterfalls and evergreen forests. Although Mount Abu is a year-round destination, the time period between November and March can be considered as the best time to visit this place. so. let's start exploring some tourist places of the one of the most beautiful city of Rajasthan, India.
1. Dilwara Jain Temples
The Dilwara Jain Temples or Delvada Temples are Located at a distance of just 2.5 kilometers from mount Abu. the Dilwara Jain temples were built between the 11th and the 13th century. The earliest were built by Vimal Shah and supposedly designed or at least financed by Vastupala, Jain minister of Dholka. The feature that makes it a must visit is the amazing and brilliant use of marble in the architecture. The ornamental carvings and the flawless stone laying technique make it one among the most beautiful pilgrimage spots in the world. The temple complex consists of 5 temples which are unique to the Jain culture in India namely Vimal Vasahi, Luna Vasahi, Pithalhar, Parshvanath and Mahavir Swami. Carved out of white marble, these temples features interiors that have intricate designs spreading everywhere from doorways to ceilings. Dilwara Jain temples are a must visit place in Mount Abu.

2. Guru Shikhar
Guru Shikhar holds the honour of being the highest peak of the Aravali range. Located 1722 meters above sea level—Guru Shikhar offers breathtaking panoramic view of the whole town and lush green Aravali range. It is 15 km from Mount Abu and a road from there leads almost to the top of the mountain. It is named Guru-Shikhar or 'the peak of the guru' after Dattatreya, an incarnation of Vishnu, and a cave at the summit contains a temple dedicated to him, plus one dedicated his mother, Anasuya, wife of sage Atri nearby. Taking about 300 steps up to Guru Shikhar, you reach the temple of Guru Dattatreya

3. Nakki Lake
One of the most popular attractions in Mount Abu, Nakki Lake is an ancient and sacred lake. Recognized as the first ever manmade lake in India, Nakki Lake is also a preferred place to see in Mount Abu. According to Hindu mythology the lake was dug out by the Gods by simply using their nails to gain shelter from the Demon Banshkhali, however many such mythological stories exist leading to the creation of this lake. Nakki Lake is also popular for being the place where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi had been immersed. The fountains in the lake add to its natural beauty.

4. Toad Rock
Nakki Lake offers numerous photo ops to visitors. One of the most popular destinations near Nakki Lake however, has to be the Toad Rock View Point. Toad Rock gets its name due to the presence of a naturally made stone sculpture resembling a tortoise. the Toad Rock has often been referred to as the mascot of Mount Abu. The massive rock structure is an excellent illustration of igneous rocks found in amazing shapes and is shaped, as the name suggests, like a toad. It is pretty easy to climb the rock and the views that it offers of the Nakki Lake and the surrounding greenery are unparalleled.

5. Achalgarh Fort
Built by the rulers of the Paramara Dynasty and later reconstructed by Maharana Kumbha of the Mewar Kingdom, Achalgarh is a ruined reminiscence of a once pompous, majestic fort and an ancient kingdom. Without doubt one of the most visited places in Mount Abu, the Achalgarh Fort is located about 26 kilometres north of the city. Another popular place to visit near Mount Abu, the Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple, is located right outside this fort.
The main entrances are characterized by two towers carved out of grey granite, which still stand as a memorial of this once pompous and majestic fort. The fort walls and the amazing location give an amazing panoramic view of the surroundings.
Visit the Jain Temples in the fort and enjoy Shop for souveniers in the nearby markets.
